The next generation of Pentax Lightseeker Rifle Scopes, the Lightseeker-30 series incorporates legendary Lightseeker optics housed in a 30mm tube. All Lightseeker-30 scopes are available with Mil-Dot reticles. The Mil-Dot provides excellent accuracy for estimating range, as well as extremely useful reticle reference points for holding over the target or into the wind, and is highly recommended for varmint hunting and many other applications.
All Lightseeker-30 scopes feature parallax correction. Parallax is the effect created when the image of the target is not focused on the same plane as the reticle, which can cause loss of accuracy. While generally not a significant issue in most hunting situations, it can become a factor in target and varmint shooting applications. The adjustable objective feature allows for image focusing and parallax correction, ensuring maximum accuracy.
