Nikon Inc., world renowned manufacturer of high quality optics, has introduced a new Monarch Series of rifle and pistol scopes designed specifically to give hunters the brightest, clearest, highest contrast image possible in murky, overcast, inclement weather and extra-low-light hunting situations. The new scope line is called the Nikon Monarch Series and the technical advancement that created it is the Ultra ClearCoat optical system.
This new optical system is truly the next generation in quality optics for the hunter who demands the ultimate in optical and mechanical performance. The Nikon UCC optical system is capable of boosting light transmission to an almost-perfect 95% level.
The Nikon Ultra ClearCoat system was developed in Nikon's new 200,000 square foot optics factory in Bangkok, Thailand by Nikon design engineers. According to the scope maker, each Monarch UCC model begins with the highest grade of scope optical glass, which is ground and polished to remove surface aberrations and blemishes that could cause glare-producing diffraction. Then, Nikon carefully applies a series of its own proprietary, anti-reflective multicoating materials to each lens surface utilizing an exclusive application method. Even the outer surfaces of the objective and eyepiece lenses are coated. (Normally soft, Nikon has created a hard, durable multicoating for these outer lenses to resist scratching.)

Nikon utilizes highly accurate, 1/4-minute deep positive click windage and elevation adjustments on the Monarch Series scopes. Steel-to-brass movements were chosen by Nikon for reliability and repeatability, as well as durability and longevity.
